Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東師範學院 === 國民教育研究所 === 91 === This study focused on the factors of the teacher-student conflict and the reactions for the elementary school students to handle. In addition, investigation on the conflict between teachers and students on the basis of background variables is included. The research utilizes questionnaire to be proceeded by stratified random sampling that the samples are 980 in number and the effective questionnaires are 873, and the research subjects are students of public elementary schools in Kaohsiung City. Besides, the survey instruments are “Scale of the sources of the teacher-student conflict,” and “Scale of the handling strategies for the elementary school students” developed by the researcher. The data available from the surveys is analyzed by descriptive statistics, pearson product-moment correlation, t-test, One-Way ANOVA, posteriori comparison, and multiple regression analysis. The major results of this study are as follows: 1. The most possible factors of the conflict from elementary school students’ perception is aberration behaviors from students. 2. The most possible method for elementary school students to solve collision is avoidance. 3. The students of high scale of the factors of the teacher-student conflict have higher awareness of the handling strategies. 4. When students sense the conflict of the improper communication between teachers and students, the difference of perception existing in teachers and students, and the misuse of teacher’s authority, students adopt collaboration, compromise, avoidance, and competition to solve collision. When students sense the conflict of the aberration behaviors from students, students adopt collaboration, compromise, avoidance, adjustment and competition to solve collision. 5. The perception source of this conflict is affected by grade, family status quo, parents’ social-economic status, and the size of school. 6. The perception of students in handling strategies is affected by gender, grade, class duties, family status quo, parents’ social and economic status, and the size of school. 7. The sources of the teacher-student conflict are the cause, and the handling strategies are the effect. According to the research result, proposals are given to school administrators, elementary school teachers, parents, and the later research for reference.
