Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東師範學院 === 國民教育研究所 === 91 === Abstract The research is designed by a quantitative method, which is arranged by a questionnaire named “Primary School Students’ Political Knowledge and Attitude Questionnaire”, in order to explore the fifth and sixth grade students’ political knowledge and attitude among the primary schools in Pingtung County. The data base would be the fifth and sixth grade students in Pingtung County. According to the different locations of primary schools, 21 schools were selected via stratified sampling, including 1150 students (1114 valid). The analysis method includes descriptive statistics method, t- test, one way ANOVA and Pearson’s product-momentγ. The findings of the research are: 1. The average test score in political knowledge is 24.31, 62.34% corrected, which means students’ political knowledge are not good enough. 2. The average test score in political attitude is 74.05, which shows a positive trend. 3. According to different backgrounds, the students’ performances in political knowledge are followings: a. Female students get higher score than male students. b. Students in urban areas get higher scores than suburban areas. c. Students whose fathers have graduate school degree get higher scores than those whose fathers are illiterate or have primary education. d. Students whose fathers have college degree get higher scores than the others whose fathers have illiteracy, primary or high school degree. e. Students whose mothers have college degree get higher scores than the others whose mothers have primary or high school degree. f. Students who often play leading jobs in class get higher scores than those who are occasionally or never on the jobs. g. Students who occasionally play leading jobs in class get higher scores than those who are never on the jobs. h. The democratic, authoritative, and cared parenting types get higher scores than indulgent type. 4. According to different backgrounds, the students’ performances in political attitude are followings: a. Female students’ law-abiding attitude is stronger than male students. b. The sense of political trust, political efficacy, political participation attitude, and law-abiding attitude of the fifth grade students are higher than sixth grade students. c. The sense of political trust of suburban area students is higher than urban area students. d. The law-abiding attitude of urban area students is higher than suburban area students. e. Students whose fathers have college degree get higher scores in law-abiding attitude than the others whose fathers have primary or high school degree. f. Students who often play leading jobs in class get higher scores in political efficacy, political participation attitude, and law-abiding attitude than those who are occasionally or never on the jobs. g. The democratic parenting type gets higher scores than authoritative, indulgent, and cared types in the sense of political trust, political efficacy, political participation attitude, and law-abiding attitude. 5. Students’ political knowledge appears positive relationship with political efficacy, political participation attitude and law-abiding attitude, but appears negative relationship with the sense of political trust. Political knowledge and political attitude also appears positive relation. Key Words: political knowledge, political attitude, parenting methods
