Abstract
There were two major purposes of this study:(1) to design a set of programs of improving interpersonal relationship in class;(2)to investigate the effects of the set of programs.
The set of programs contained three parts;discovering dvantages of one’s and others’, improving disadvantages of one’s in order to get better along with others, and to experience the meaning of cooperation with others. Sixty of 4-grade students studying at Chung-Shan primary school in Kaohsiung County were the target population. The experimental group needed to participate the set of programs for eight weeks, totally 840 minutes. The control group couldn’t receive any treatment.
Students’ pre-test scores on the 〝Questionnaire of Interpersonal Relationship〞and 〝Sociometric Scale〞were the covariates, and the scores of post-test and follw-up test on the 〝Questionnaire of Interpersonal Relationship〞and 〝Sociometric Scale〞were the dependent variables. They were submitted to one-way ANCOVA in order to see the effects of the set of programs of improving interpersonal relationship in class. Besides, the comments of each program, 〝The Feedback of Mood〞, 〝The General Feedback of Programs〞,〝The Researcher’s Report〞,and〝The Teacher’s and Students’ Interview〞were analyzed.
The findings were summarized as follows:
1. Comparing the pre-test and post-test scores of the 〝Questionnaire of Interpersonal Relationship〞, there was no statistical significant difference between groups.
2. Comparing the pre-test and follow-up test scores of the 〝Questionnaire of Interpersonal Relationship〞,there was a significant difference between groups, and students of experimental group improved their interpersonal relationship in class after participating the set of programs.
3. Comparing the pre-test and post-test scores of the 〝Sociometric Scale〞 there was no significant difference between groups.
4. Comparing the pre-test and follow-up test scores of the 〝Sociometric Scale〞,
there was a significant difference between groups, and students of experimental group improved their interpersonal relationship in class after participating the set of programs.
5. Besides, the comments of each program, 〝The Feedback of Mood〞, 〝The General Feedback of Programs〞, 〝The Researcher’s Report〞, and 〝The Teacher’s and Students’ Interview〞showed that the goals of the set of programs could be attended,
students got better along with others in class, and had pleasure mood to participate the set of programs.
Based on the findings of this study, the researcher proposed some suggestions for the set of programs, counseling in class, counselors and future study.
