In this action research, one of researcher's classes was selected to study during half a year. In the beginning, current teaching materials and questions of Basic Competence Test were accommodated to develop echoes courses connected with context of one selected exemplar. The researchers took actions that consisted planning, action and reflection to find out difficulties and solutions in teaching process and promoted students‘ understanding. The major findings were follows: 1) Adjusting and teaching on echoes courses connected with context of one selected exemplar: In order to adjust the curriculum contents, some echoes concepts are connected by the context of an exemplar. Students participated in this teaching plan are designed to simulate or observe phenomena. The teacher refers to echoes concepts behind phenomena according to phenomena observed or students’ performance. We find that all of students consider the simulation and performance positive. But demonstrations can’t guarantee all students to get correct scientific knowledge. The demonstrations and students’ alternative conceptions would affect students’ learning to negative effects. We can find out aftereffects of teaching materials by examine after observing students’ reception. A teacher would promote students' understanding by discussing students' answers in class. 2)Assessment of students’ understanding from context learning: In order to show inner images of understanding from context learning, students have to illustrate with statements. A teacher can’t find out inner images of his students only by distinguishing between right and wrong answers in test, he has to put himself into students’ shoes. Only some of students can calculate correctly after context learning. 3)Development of the researcher: The researcher learned and accumulated experience in teaching and in studying students’ understanding about echolocation. 洪振方 學位論文 ; thesis 0 zh-TW |
