The purpose of the research is to realize the wife’s psychal process after facing her husband’s affair and the social back-up resources. Using the way of deep interviews gathers the information and analyzing the process of the statement research. By telling the stories, try to find out the same or different life experiences after facing the husband’s affair.. Expect to supply the firm suggestions about self-adjustment and transformation of mind .The results as follows:
1. The ego of the wife in the marriage: For female, the relationship with others is a part of ego, therefore the wife quite stresses the importance of the relationship with others .The wife’s ego emphasizes taking care of each other very much.
2. The situation of the wife in the marriage: Most wives have the inferior position. That is because of the traditional sexism and giving more love and care than men causes the weakness in the authority.
3. Analyzing the wife’s situation after husband having affair: Different stages have different difficulties and conflict. The difficulties of the first stage include: self-doubt, unstable moods, unable to talk to others, trying to get back the husband’s heart. The difficulties of the later stage include: whether to divorce or not, how to bring up children alone, how to overcome the economic problems and how to rebuilt the new order of the life. As to the transformation of mind, the main factors are: the disappointment to the husband, to move out the place which makes the wife sad, blaming the misfortune on the fate, and healing wound with the passing of time.
4. The social support after husband having affair: The main support is emotional support from friends, family and religion. Practical support is from family of a married woman’s parents and colleagues, friends. Information support is mainly from organizations.
In the end, bring out introspection and suggestions according to the research..
