Abstract
Net addiction is a modern disease in dot-com times.It has profound influence on people’s life,especially on the adolescents. Teenagers who are physically and mentally immature are apt to be addicted to the fascinating and amusing places called “Internet cafes”. Internet cafes,the recreation stores with logged-on computer games,have become the most attractive places for the youth.There,young people play on-line games or linger in the chat rooms day and night. These net-addicted adolescents have caused unexpected troubles to their families,schools and our society.
This study aims to research teenagers’ net addiction problems in Internet cafes through gathering relevant records and data ,arranging and analyzing them so as to devise a proper scale.This scale is designed by using five factors which include 21 questions. And then t-test and one-way ANOVA are used as analyzing tools. Results show:
No significant difference shows between net addiction and genders.
Significant difference shows between different graders and net addiction. At schools,the higher their grades are,the more seriously the students will addict to net world.
The longer they stay in Internet cafes,the more obvious the net addiction will be.
This study will offer concrete suggestions to：students,parents,educational authorities,Internet cafe owners and follow-up researchers. It will also be used as references to prevent teenagers form net addiction.
