Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 工業科技教育學系 === 91 === A Study of the Students’ Attitude towards Computer in the Military Senior High School in Taiwan Abstract The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors which influence the attitude towards computer of military senior high school students and the difference of the attitude towards computer between students. For the study, a questionnaire “Questionnaire of the Research on the Attitude towards Computer of Military Senior High School Students” was designed. The computer attitude scale includes four factors: computer anxiety, likings, confidence and usefulness. Scale reliability was .87. In order to find out the difference of the attitude towards computer between military senior high school students, this study investigates factors such as grade, family’s financial condition, computer learning time, computer using situation on school holidays, computer using hours per week, computer and network equipment of family and the ability to use computer of family members. The questionnaire was sent to the students randomly selected from the military senior high schools in Taiwan and 805 copies were considered valid. The results of statistical analysis of the data obtained through the questionnaires are as follows: 1. Of military senior high school students, the second grade students are more interested in computers than the third grade students. 2. Students with poor family’s financial conditions more like to use computers, have more positive computer attitudes and show more positive opinions on computer usefulness. 3. Students who spend more time in learning computers are less anxious and more confident in using computers, and they also more like to use computers and show more positive computer attitudes. 4. Students who use computers on school holidays show more positive computer attitudes. 5. Students spend the more time on computers per week show the more positive computer attitudes. Those who use computers more than 10 hours show the most positive computer attitudes; secondly, 6-10, 2-6; lastly below two. 6. Computer environment will influence students’ attitudes towards computer. Students who have computers and network equipments at home and have family members able to use computers show more positive computer attitudes. As for computer usefulness, most students have positive opinions.
