Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 工業科技教育學系 === 91 === The purpose of this study was to examine both the approach and effect of integrating mathematics, science, with technology curriculum. In order to achieve the goal, firstly, an approach to curriculum integrating was constructed based on the related references. Afterward, the learning activities and teaching materials of the Natural science curriculum for elementary students were designed according to the approach. Through eight weeks teaching experiment, by nonequivalent-control groups designed as a quasi-experimental study, fifth-grade elementary school students were sampled purposively as subjects. The learning outcomes of the students were evaluated by the following measuring tools: “Achievement Test”, “Problem Solving Inventory”, and “Questionnaire of Learning Feedback”. After the analysis, the results could be concluded as following:
(1) The adoption of curriculum integration has a beneficial effects on students’ achievements, problem-solving skills, and learning attitudes. The results suggest that there is still the room for developing curriculum integration.
(2) The designed approach to the curriculum integration is field-tested effectively through learning activities designing and teaching experiment.
