Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 行銷與流通管理所 === 91 === The main idea of this study is to understand the relations with psychic distance, learning capability, relationship quality, and organizational performance. After reviewing articles about psychic distance, organizational learning, learning capability, relationship quality, and the researcher propose that knowledge stock and relationship quality as two mediators between psychic distance and learning capabilities which denotes acquiring capability and utilizing capability. And learning capabilities will influence the organizational performance separately. This article took Taiwan Business cooperating with local partners in Mainland China as research context, collected 57 samples and conducted the empirical study by using structural equation modeling tool.
The original model shows that low psychic distance is correlated with more knowledge about the host country and better relationship with local partners. And that will enhance the acquiring capability while have no influence on utilizing capability. Furthermore, the competing model shows that low psychic distance is correlated with more knowledge about the host country and better relationship with local partners. And that will enhance the utilizing capability which could produce better performance through strengthening acquiring capability. In the competing model I have two interesting findings in addition. One is that the acquiring capability has no direct effect on organizational performance. It influences organizational performance indirectly through utilizing capability. Finally, I find that there is no direct relationship between psychic distance and organizational performance rather there are indirect effects on psychic distance and organizational performance.
