The synchronized data are situated in the database of the remote data center not in the local PC. This then avoid the possibility of data hacked. The Palm built-in application is unchangeable; therefore, in this research, a “new address book” application is designed in the Palm by using the double modify tables to minimize the time of data synchronization while the volume of database is large, that is, there are modify tables in database and the Palm separately. While proceeding the data synchronization, only the data of modify tables need to be exchanged rather than transit the whole data table. In addition, to avoid the user from being addicted in on-line activities and neglecting crucial schedule or e-mail as well as leading to some loss, the function of event alert is also included in the “Memo” and “ E-mail” of the data center. Therefore, the user can set up the event alert situation in the “Memo” and “E-mail.” As for the “Memo,” the user can set up having the event alert to remind the user few hours or minutes ago before the time of set schedule. Regarding “E-mail,” the e-mail alert of specific address, title or certain words included can also be set up. After the setting up is finished, the browser is minimized as TSR. The data center will detect the situation, and once it matches the data center will use an appropriate way to jump out a small window on the PC screen of the user and play the alert sounds. This research combines and applies the related techniques of JSP, SyncBuilder Framework, Java Applet, Java Bean, Java Mail, JDBC(Java DataBase Connectivity), Java RMI(Java Remote Method Invocation), Java Security, Socket message delivery and J2ME CLDC. Based on the techniques above have provided, Palm data synchronization is no longer limited to the application of Palm Desktop; rather, data synchronization can also be proceeded through the system researched in this paper. This system can help not only low down the cost of data synchronization but also equip with the function of event alert; the user will never ignore important schedules and e-mails. none 徐偉智 2003 學位論文 ; thesis 100 zh-TW |
