Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 營建工程所 === 91 === The theory of Discontinuous Deformation Analysis (DDA) was originally published by Dr. Gen-hua Shi in the proceeding of the 25th US Symposium on Rock Mechanics in 1984. The method was a newly developed numerical method treating the elements (or blocks) as separable, deformable, movable and rotational. In other words, it is completely discontinuous between elements. The original DDA program was written in BASIC language. Dr. Chihsen T.Lin revised the original main program under DOS environment using FORTAN language for increasing the computing efficiency.
This research is to further develop the revised FORTAN program and their pre-processor and post-processor in the Microsoft Visual BASIC environment. The newly developed program is given a name of “DDA-2003”. The program provides more advanced analytical capacities than original DDA program including the increase of block numbers and the convenience of using pre-processor and post-processor in order to meet the requirements of simulating the complex geological structures of rock mass.
