Summary:碩士 === 國立花蓮師範學院 === 國小科學教育研究所 === 91 === This study intended to find the instructional design of using a Wed-based Thematic Learning System to help elementary students’ science learning. The system afforded the students synchronously and asynchronously discussed in web. The objects of this study are fifth-grade elementary school in Tau-Yuan county and Yi-Lan county. Sounds of Instruments and Biology Reproduction issues were chosen as learning units. The action research tried to develop instructional plan, and find out the difficulties and solutions after in-field teaching. The findings of this research are: 1) The teachers must have basic computer operation ability, familiar with teaching materials and system before they can perform web-based thematic instruction. 2) Instructing students to gather and sort out information beforehand can smooth the teaching processes. 3) Understanding system function and mastering teaching process is essential. 4) There must be a system engineer to help solving technical problems during the teaching processes. 5) Gathering information is a common difficult for students. 6) The web-based thematic learning system is interesting for students, and they all were willing to use it.
