The thesis is dedicated to elementary teachers who are interested in nature awareness. I hope the entire article with its structure would be friendly to my readers. This research is not only an imagination of a way of practicing education by experiencing nature, but also a process of self-exploration about myself. These two purposes in this research are combined with each other by the thought of “the subject of life.”
In the way of practice, this research presents three dimensions: the others, oneself, and the communities. From these three dimensions, the important issues on nature awareness, three kinds of feelings, and regional natural record of school are derived. It is hoped to pave a helpful path to practice by means of experience from pioneers on natural awareness, curriculum structure and imaginations of communities.
In self-exploration, I started from the concept of mutual subjectivity. After thinking about the subjectivities of life, Min-chi, the kids and the teachers, I came to realize that I used to give priority to others rather than myself. Although this habit boots the exploration process, I cannot help but sense the insufficiency in meaning of self-existence. Therefore, the end point of the thesis is no less than the commencement in search of meaning of self-existence.
In the end, the thesis presents the process of dialogue between the researcher and the co-researcher, which represents the manipulation process in action science.
