(1)、To design a suitable Life-and-Death Education Program for
fourth —grade students.
(2)、To investigate the effects of the Life-and-Death Education
Program .
(3)、To investigate the impact of such a program upon the students’ death attitude.
A quasi-experimental design was employed. Subjects are 62 fourth-grade students from Waipu Elementary School located in Taichung County. The experimental group received a Life-and-Death Education Program, while control group did not received any treatment during the experiment period. The instruments used to evaluate the effect of such a program include Death Attitude Scale of Children.
Two measurements were administered to the two groups at three points of time:one week prior to the implementation of the program, one week after the program, and six weeks later. On the part of qualitative data learning response is interpreted by means of students’ assignments and overall feedback data.
The findings indicate that the program was well accepted among the students and was considered effective.
Two different sources of data also seem to cross-validate each other. It is concluded that this Multifaceted Teaching in Life-and-Death Education Program is suitable for students at this age.
Based on the research ,several suggestions for Life-and-Death Education Program and further research were made.
