Because of the insufficiency of spare parts could result in failed equipment and fighting, but excessive stock of spare parts may lead to the high holding cost. So the difficulty of the job is that the manager must provide sufficient spare parts to ensure the availability of weapon systems under restricted budget. This paper is based on operational availability and has been considered Major levels of Maintenance, Reliability, Failure rate and Multi-indenture. We construct a simplified model by simulation approach with SIMSCRIPT II.5 and figure out the mean logistics delay time (MLDT), mean time to repair (MTTR) and mean time between failure (MTBF) by sensitivity analysis of inventory strategies, lead time and maintenance resources variation under the case of X weapon system. Finally, we get some conclusions as following:(1)(S-1, S) inventory strategy is more suitable than (s, S) strategy for advancing the availability of weapon system.(2)It is little effect if you want to enhance availability only by increasing the stock of spare parts and not adjusting the inventory strategy, lead time or maintenance mechanism. 朱艷芳 孟昭宇 2003 學位論文 ; thesis 104 zh-TW
