A longitudinal research design was used in the study. A sample of potentional participated were recruited in assertive training group. Thirty-three students participated experimental group. Thirty-six students joined comparison group. Experimental group received assertive training eight sessions. Each session lasted for 2 hours per week. There were three waves of data collections( prior to the treatment, immediate after the treatment, and one month after the treatment). The assessment of this study included “Rotter’s Internal versus External Control of Reinforcement Scale”, “Sex Role Inventory”, “Assertive Scale”, “Esteem Scale”, “Interpersonal Communication Satisfaction Inventory”. The Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis test, Generalized Estimating Equation (GEE)were applied to analyze the longitudinal data. The results of this study were as follows:(1) An internal locus of control was positively correlated with Assertiveness.(2)The sex role was significant correlated with assertiveness.(3)Experimental group has significant higher assertive after the assertive training group.(4)Experimental group has significant higher self-esteem after the assertive training group.(5)Experimental group has no significant higher interpersonal communicate satisfaction after the assertive training group.
