Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 觀光暨遊憩管理研究所 === 91 === The Study of Leisure Participation as related to Lifestyles of Junior High School Teachers in Taipei city Abstract The purposes of this study were to understand the real situation of leisure participation and life style, and the relationship of both of them among the junior high school teachers in Taipei city. In order to afford some suggestions for junior high schools teachers to plan their leisure activities. This study used the questionnaires to collect the data and 401 teachers of junior high schools from 12 administration areas in Taipei were randomly sampled for investigating their leisure participation and life style. The study indicated that (1) The junior high school teachers participate the knowledge, the family and the relaxed type of leisure more often, and they sometimes participate the hobby and the sport type of leisure. And their frequency of leisure participation is a little low. (2) The female teachers take part in the knowledge and the family type of leisure more often, and the male teachers participate the sport type of leisure more often. Young, single and lower income teachers participate the entertainment type of leisure more often; Older, married and grown-up children teachers take part in the hobby type of leisure. Those who participate the family type of leisure more often are married teachers that have the young kids to take care. (3) The life styles of junior high school teachers are that they care the family the most, put emphasis on knowledge, more conservative, have some degrees of confidence, pay attention to sport and health, maintain the basic degree of social activities, pay less attention to the fashion information. (4) Those who have higher income, older, female and have young kids to take care and married teachers are tend to the family life style; those who are older, male, married and have grown-up children are tend to the sport and healthy life style; those who have lower income, younger, married and don’t have kids yet are not tend to the family life style; those who are younger and single are tend to the fashion and confidence-leadership life style; those who are married and have young kids to take care are tend to the knowledge life style; those who are older, married and have grown-up children are tend to the conservation life style. (5) There were positive significant relationship between leisure participation and life style of junior high school teachers.
