Moreover, humans are sensitive to the edge of objects. If the edge has good performance, the good quality is felt by human visual. To solve this problem, many interpolation methods are proposed, which usually have high computational complexity and do not achieve to real-time interpolation. So, we propose a fast image interpolation technique, which can achieve to real-time interpolation and have good subjective quality. The different image properties are used to classify each pixel in our proposed method. Besides, the distinct interpolation algorithms are adopted according to the different properties. For the de-interlacing of NTSC TV, we propose two methods, which use the information of spatial domain and temporal domain, respectively. In spatial domain, the proposed algorithm is based on ELA algorithm and the information of horizontal direction and half-pixels are added. In temporal domain, the input video field is interpolated using the relation between fields. The uncomfortable visual artifacts such as an edge flicker, an interline flicker, and a line crawling are solved using our proposed algorithms, and the high quality images are produced.
