碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 國民教育研究所 === 91 === An Action Research on Life Education Conducted in an Elementary School-Give the Sixth Grade as an Example Abstract This study is an action research done by an elementary school teacher to understand how life education can be developed in elemantary schools, which gives the sixth grade class as an example to explore how life education can be merged with current curriculum. The purposes of this study are as followed. 1.To develop life education curriculum that is suitable for students in the class 2.To understand how life education is carried out in the class. 3.To discuss what difficulties one may encounter and how he solve them when life education.is put in practice. This research came up with findings and conclusions that follow. 1.Life education should be connected to life and merged with other subjects and activities. 2.Students’s experience, needs and feeling should be considered when carrying out life education. Sharing and discussion should be emphasized, too. 3.There should be a diversity of teaching methods.Pay attention to the atmosphere and take the time to teach. Suggestions to teaching and further research are made according to these findings. Key Word: Life Education，Action Research
