Summary: | 碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 生物機電工程學系碩士班 === 91 === Fish size is an important factor that impacts the economy of an aquaculture enterprise. Size information is used to choose harvesting, grading and sorting dates. A new simulation method of automatic measuring the fish size and swimming speed under our homemade infrared-light-based circuit was presented. In past, many researches for measuring the fish size and swimming speed were based on image techniques. Using above image methods, there are many problems and challenges, including artificial light is required, higher-cost image devices are needed and their imaging programs are often complex. Now, infrared-light-based method can be used to economically record and study behavior, swimming speed and size distribution under a nature conditions. We also added the java techniques in the new measuring method for remote monitor and control functions. The purpose of this thesis is focus on the simulation study of the new measuring method. After being finished, it will be of a great help for fish culturist in Taiwan.
