A questionnaire of two tests was conducted in this study. The collected data were then processed through descriptive statistics, t-test, One way ANOVA and Pearson correlation to conduct data analysis. . The findings of this study were as follows: 1)The Tsou race mainly have traditional attitudes towards marriage. Although they envisage marriage as a happy and joyous event, they also believe that it will bring about strain and worry. 2)Tsou who living in tribe generally place a more heavy emphasis on marriage than living in city as they see it as a more necessary and valued part of life. 3)The Tsou men consider it an absolute necessity to marry. It is generally found that the younger (ages between 20-29)、 low salaries ( earning below 20,000) and have not marry have negative marriage feeling than those who are the older(ages over 30)、higher salaries (earning between 20,000 to 40,000) and married. 4)A family survey conducted between three family generations of the Tsou people indicated that the traditional marriage attitude was more prominent in children living with both parents. It was also found that children in single parent families did not value the traditional marriage concept as much. 5)Another survey demonstrated that less educated Tsou parents are generally more conservative. Due to their lack of education, they feel more obliged to follow the traditional and cultural beliefs of marriage. 6)Normal Tsou families maintain more regular and proper attitudes towards marriage, as opposed to broken Tsou families. 7)It can be seen that Tsou families who keep in touch with their parents usually have positive marriages attitude than those who do not keep in touch with their parents. 8)It is evident that among the Tsou people, attitudes towards marriage is related to their parental marriage relationship. But there is not a big influence. In conclusion, the above information presents some suggestions and references to encourage future study of the Tsou race’s attitudes towards marriage. This research also offers the education department, including teachers, researchers and administrators who are in charge of social education, a chance to help plan for further and more beneficial ways of educating the Tsou race.
