Summary:碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 家庭教育研究所 === 91 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the lived experience of middle-aged (age 34-60) divorced men, which contained viewpoints of their divorced-related events, feelings on their divorce, features of their parenting behaviors, needs for intimacy and ways to rebuild their new lives. The study used hermeneutic phenomenology as the ethodology. Semi-structured in-depth interviews were employed to collect text. The participants, recommended by institutions or friends, consisted of seven interviewers with the qualifications for the purpose of the study. Thematic analysis provided the basis of analytic strategies and steps. The principles of analysis were base on intersubjective agreement and checking between the researcher and interviewers. According to the results, their lived experience included six common themes.They are (1) running away from the old burden, because of no more relationship by fate; (2) having mixed feelings in mind, because of facing the abrupt change; (3) feeling sweet burdens from our cherished children; (4) expecting to own intimate relationship; (5) walking out from the dark cloud, because of supports by surrounding resources and (6) restructing self and building the new meaning of life. Finally, this thesis were ended with the suggestions on family policies, family education and future research. In addition, severval reflections on this research were provided.
