description 碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 農學研究所 === 91 === The objects of this experiment were to investigate the influences of chilled plantlets of Fragaria × ananassa Duch. cv. ‘TY. No.1’ on plant growths and fruit yields, to investigate the influences of plantlet sizes, leaf numbers of plants on plant growth and fruit yields too. Percentage of the survival plants grown from plantlets chilled for 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 weeks in 5°C cool and dark room and from check that were 96.3, 93.0, 98.0, 88.7 and 85.3%, respectively. These plantlets chilled for 6 and 8 weeks resulted to significantly decrease survival rate. The plants grown from plantlets chilled for over 4 weeks could have much long petiole, large leaf area and canopy, these against weeks of plantlets chilled appeared positive linear regressions. Influences of plantlets chilled on the growth rate of petiole length and leaf area reach the largest at 120 days after planting, and were 1.47 cm/week and 21.28 cm2/week, respectively and decreased significantly at 150 days after planting. The early harvest, yields of chilled plantlets for 2, 4, 6, 8 weeks and check were 96.9, 49.0, 16.3, 15.6 and 175.7 g per plant, respectively; yields of plantlets chilled over 4 weeks that compared to check decreased significantly. As well as the later harvest yields of these treatments were 120.5, 170.0, 148.2, 130.7 and 175.7 g per plant, respectively. Fruit numbers of these plantlets chilled for 6 or 8 weeks were less than check, but average fruit weights of plantlets chilled over 4 weeks increased significantly, and fruit yields from plantlets chilled over 4 weeks compared to checked were insignificantly, and of these plantlets chilled 2 weeks was less than check. Total yield of fruit weight of these plantlets chilled for 2, 4, 6, 8 weeks and check were 217.5, 219.0, 164.6, 146.4 and 293.1 g per plant, respectively. Yields of various treatments were significantly less than check, marketable yields of these treatments were 108.3, 138.3, 100.4, 96.8 and 169.4 g per plant, respectively; yields of various treatments except of the 4 weeks treatment were significantly less than check. Average fruit weights were not significantly different among treatments. Weight of the marketable fruits of plantlets chilled for 8 weeks was significantly heavier than check. These plantlets of the experiment were classified into 4 sizes of <6, 6-<9, 9-<12, and ≧12mm according to their crown diameters. The larger the crown size the longer the petiole within 30 days after planting, as well as, the larger the leaf area within 120 days after planting, the lager the canopy within 60 days after planting. These against crown sizes appeared positive linear regressions. The early harvest yields of <6, 6-<9, 9-<12, and ≧12mm crown sizes were 47.5, 72.1, 80.6 and 73.6 g per plant, respectively; yield of crown size less 6 mm was significantly less than others, while others were insignificantly different. The later yields among various treatments were 109.76-127.5 g per plant, and had insignificantly different. The total yield of 9-<12 mm crown size was 215.6 g per plant, and had the highest yield among various treatments, of 6-9 mm crown size was 198.4 g per plant and did the second rank, of larger 12 mm and less 6 mm crown sizes were 100.5 and 96.2 g per plant, respectively, were significantly less than 9-<12mm crown size. The plants at 3 months after planting, part of leaves were removed per week to keep 6, 10, 14, 18 and 22 leaves per plant, the early yields were 87.4, 90.4, 100.3, 92.3 and 89.2 g per plant, respectively, and did insignificantly different. The early harvest average fruit weights were 7.0, 7.2, 6.6, 6.5 and 5.3 g, respectively. These plants with 6 and 10 leaves produced less fruits than others, and also were higher average fruit weight and rate of marketable fruits. The later harvest yields of these treatments were 87.5, 141.0, 130.3, 147.6 and 139.3 g per plant, respectively. As well as, total yields were 174.9, 231.4, 230.6, 232.7 and 228.5 g per plant, respectively. Total yield of 6 leaves was significantly less than others, but total yield and later yield of these treatments except of the 6 leaves treatment were insignificantly different.
