The main purpose of this study was to explore the relationships between teacher efficacy and school effectiveness about the comprehensive vocational subject of vocational senior high school, in order to be the reference of the related educational authority agencies and schools to improve teacher efficacy and school effectiveness. Related documents Were reviewed to establish the research framework and the design of qguestionnaire. Besides, the teachers from the comprehensive vocational schools were asked about the opinion of teacher efficacy and school effectiveness via the questionnaire survey method.
This study adopted stratified random sampling technique based on the location and types of the school. The population came from the teachers of 81 vocational senior high schools of the comprehensive vocational subject in Taiwan area. The sample included 55 schools with usable responses of 554. the effective sample return rate was 69.25%. the statistic methods used were frequency distribution, percentile, t-test, one-way ANOVA, pearson’s product-moment correlation, and multiple stepwise regression.
According to the results, conclusions of this study were as follows:
一、 The present situation of teacher efficacy was found good about the comprehensive vocational subject of vocational senior migh school.
二、 The present situation of school effectiveness was found good about the subject of vocational senior high school.
三、 In the vocational senior high school of multiple vocational ability subject, there were apparent differendces on teacher efficacy existed among the teachers age service gualifications and the professional background of specilal education.
四、 In (the vocational senior high school of), there were significant differences on school effectiveness existed among the teachers age, the professional background of special education, service qualifications,positions and the size of school.
五、 In the vocational senior high school of vocational subject, the teacher efficacy and the school effectiveness appear to be positive relation.
六、 In the vocational senior high school of multiple vocational ability subject, teacher efficacy could effectively predict school effectiveness.
