Summary: | 碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 教育研究所 === 91 === The main purpose of this study was to explore the relationships among the junior high school students’ emotional intelligences and life adjustments. The survey data were collected from 672 students in 6 public schools in the central counties of Taiwan. This study applied statistical methods, such as mean, standard deviation, one-way MANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation and multiple regression to analyze data. The findings were as follow:
1. Junior high students’ emotional intelligences as a whole were above the average; among them, emotion-appraisal was at the top level while emotion-regulation at the bottom.
2. Junior high students’ life adjustments as a whole were above the average. Interpersonal adjustment was at the best level while school adjustment at the worse one.
3. There were significant differences both in students’ emotional intelligences and life adjustments in relation to students’ background variables (gender and grade).
4. Students’ emotional intelligences were related significantly to each aspect of students’ life adjustments.
5. Each aspect of students’ life adjustments was predicted significantly by students’ emotional intelligences background variables (gender and grade)
