Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中央大學 === 資訊工程研究所 === 91 === The purpose of this study is to develop a web-learning environment with the concept of contract learning as foundations. This environment provides tools to support a learner to sign a contract and to achieve it. Contract learning is an effective method of developing the learner independent and self-directed learning. The learner has to make promise to a learning contract and carry on with the goal. This paper first describes relevant theories of self-directed learning and contract learning, and then induces the system design principles of developing contract learning environment. Under the system design principles, we proceed to implement a web-based environment.
The modules of the system are mainly divided into seven functions: user- related module, teacher module, learning contract module, portfolio-related module, assessment module, reward module and interaction module. Findings of this study are summarized as follows:
1.The web-based contract learning environment has positive help on learners learning in primary school.
2.This system is effective with the assistance of signing and achieve of the learning contract.
3.This system has a positive influence on the learners’ motivation.
