Two algorithms are implemented and compared. In the first algorithm, an iterative method is applied with brightness constraint and smoothness constraint using intensity information of a single image, and occluding boundary is supplied as boundary condition. In the second algorithm, the surface orientation of an object is determined by photometric stereo method which uses 3 point-light-source as illumination sources, and then the solid model is rebuild. We used a fourth light source to solve the problem of the overlapped shadow area. After experiments, these two methods all show their capabilities in producing sound results. This research proved that it is feasible to rebuild solid models from their corresponding two-dimensional shading images. Da-Pan Chen 陳大潘 2003 學位論文 ; thesis 84 zh-TW
