Summary: | 碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 電信工程系 === 91 === In this thesis, we present a hybrid algorithm to estimate mobile location for cellular system. This methodology combines the information of time of arrival (TOA) and power loss to locate mobile position. We map received information onto geometry domain to reduce complex calculation, system error and interference of propagation environment. And then utilizing the intersection of geometry diagrams estimates mobile position. On the basis of GSM system, this thesis proposes mobile location algorithm utilizing time advance (TA) information and received signal strength indication (RSSI) of six base stations. Base on traditional GSM system, we estimate mobile location and 67% position error is below 200 meters. Finally, we verify our algorithm using practical measurements.
