It seems that architecture defines a precise boundary whereas, on the other hand, the formation of a boundary also has an influence upon the development of architecture. As time passes by, the complex relation between boundary and architecture changes and gradually becomes relevant to the lives and behaviors of human beings. In this research, four sites with various topics were chosen to act as the cases to be discussed and the focus of the analysis is upon three interrelated sets of relationship in the four cases; that is, between boundary and human beings, between architecture and human beings, and between boundary and architecture. The discussion begins with the relations between environment and human beings. The inside spirit and body of human beings are without doubt quickly affected by the change of environment. The changing human behavior sequentially results in the alteration in the appearances of architecture, which then leads to the modification of the boundary. In 21st century’s today, whether the new behaviors of human beings will bring us about new spaces and architectural boundaries, and if the old spaces and architectures are to be disappeared due to marginalization are the problems for us to face. Therefore, it is important for those architectural designers with great visions of creating a new and outstanding architectural space to pay more attention to the basic issues, such as the interrelated aspects of human beings, space, architecture and city. 碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 建築研究所 === 91 === In the evolving process of architecture, boundary has always been a central topic that receives great attention.
