Summary: | 碩士 === 國立體育學院 === 體育研究所 === 91 === The purposes of this study was to investigate the health related physical fitness knowledge in the elementary school teachers, in terms of teachers’ demographic background. This study sampled 505 elementary teachers from 25 schools and administered with “Health Related Physical Fitness Knowledge Scale for Elementary School Teachers.” By t-test, one-way ANOVA, statistical analyses, this study found the following results :
1.Teachers in different positions have different cognition on health related physical fitness concepts.
2.Those who had teaching experiences in physical education classes had better performance on health related physical fitness knowledge.
3.There were no significant differences on health related physical fitness knowledge in terms of age and service years.
4.Male teachers were better than female teachers on health related physical fitness knowledge.
5.Teachers who graduated from the physical education departments had better performance on health related physical fitness knowledge.
6.The rankings of teachers’ knowledge on health related physical fitness were theory, measurement and evaluation, and teaching methods.
