The cooling model is popular in the notebook and some electronic systems. Due to the complexity of the coupled system the performance of a fan and a fin are investigated separately in the literature. Because the coupled relation between a fan and a fin and the non-uniform inlet flow field of fin are not considered, the real cooling mechanism and the best cooling efficiency of the system can not be revealed. The above faults are overcome in this study. Moreover, the influence of parameters of fan and fin on the overall flow field and the cooling system are investigated. Finally, the strength and the dynamic analysis of the impeller are made. The influence of the geometer parameters on the natural frequencies and mode shapes are investigated.
