The main subject inquired in this thesis is Materiality, one of the two critical elements of Space.
The form of Space is composed by the relative relationship of the two critical elements of Space: the Void and the Materiality.
The Void forms the appearance of Space,
and the Materiality decides the location and property of the boundary of Space.
Purpose
about researching procedures -
Try to estabilish an experimental procedure for exploring the protential construction abilities of materials,
and attempt to provide a possible procedure for further research of materials and constructions.
about construction experiments -
Attempt to redefine the ethic relationship of material properties, constructing techniques, and Space forms,
Try to estabilish and classfy the knowledge system of the constructing techniques,
and take the construction knowledge system as the communication platform of different field.
This research begins with the respect for materials and reminds us the attitude we should have when facing materials.
The procedure of this research is an experimental testing of exploring the protential construction ability of materials.
The conclusion of this research is a provisional understanding about materials and constructions.
