Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 企業管理學系碩博士班 === 91 === The main purpose of this research is using the exploratory case study method to analyze the business strategies in National Cheng Kung University Medical Center (NCKUMC). In this study, the author also discusses D.H. Seetoo’s (1999) points, which are the six segments of the non-profit organizations and strategic choice, to evaluate the healthcare industry in Taiwan. The results show that NCKUMC should have its own major medical services and features in order to distinguish from private hospitals. In addition, the medical center’s managers must improve efficiency, expand medical services and seek vertical integration through the cooperative operation with other hospitals and the innovative management methods in hospital administration. This study proves that D.H. Seetoo’s perspective in the analysis of non-profit organizations is suitable for NCKUMC. Therefore, the author recommends that NCKUCC can cooperate with other hospitals to propose the subsidy from the government, to enhance the suppliers’ bargaining power, to support medical personnel each other, to expand medical services, and to have vertical integration. Besides, NCKUMC should make good use of its own advantages to develop major medical features, such as the outstanding departments, resources and apparatus. These viewpoints will be the direction of strategic development in the future.
