Therefore, good-designed mouse rest pads can alleviate the pain of musculoskeletal ailment. This research mainly aims at the cause led to school children’s carpal injury and at the ingenious design for further refinement. In this research the experiment of carpal angle、EMG、carpal posture and subject rating is carried out, focusing on the evaluation of school children’s operations toward mouse rest pads. The findings are that (1) applying mouse rest pads can lesson carpal flexion and extension; (2) wrists can stay nearly horizontal condition if the height of mouse rest pads lies in between 25-26 mm and the height variation, 20-21 mm; (3) carpal flexion and extension affect the degree of ulnar deviation as well as radial deviation; (4) when carpal flexion and extension takes places, muscles gain more pain because they might increase the load of flexor in order to balance ulnar deviation and radial deviation.
