Due to the performance from the co-designing projects with subcontractors will be cut the time to market, reduced the risk and cost of new product development, buyers invited subcontractors to joint the new product development and to form the closed partnership. The research focus on the subcontractors’ network to investigate the motivations and related issues of co-designing project. The study found that most of participants considered the following issues to joint the co-designing project that to maintain the buyer-supplier’s relation, to get product information and advanced technology, to cut product development schedule, and to reduce the risk and cost of new technology development.
