碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 應用中國文學研究所碩士在職專班 === 91 === There have been many people who are willing to stand out and risk their lives to protect the Chinese society whenever the society is unstable or the country is being attacked since ancient times. People today have done many researches about those willing to risk their lives to carry over the crisis of our country. This research paper is about General Hu-Lien who spent his entire life, from his joining the army to protect our country to his hard work turning Kinmen County into a model city based on the Three Principles of the People. He spent most of his lifetime defending our country and constructing the basic outline of Kinmen. This research paper contains three chapters with introduction and conclusion. The first chapter is about how General Hu-Lien leaded our troops to fight against the Japanese and the Chinese Communist, hisachievements on constructing Kinmen County and the time serving as an envoy abroad in Vietnam. The second chapter is about his political achievements. The third chapter is about the historical status of General Hu-Lien. This research paper also features the pieces missing from “Modern History of China”. I truly hope this research paper is helpful to confirm the evidences of the history.
