Under different work abilities, the cement-sand mortar was prepared with three designed strengths(low、 medium and high strength)and also curd under several elevated temperatures. The result shows that with the W/B increases, the higher the temperature is, the more loss on ignition and the lower compression strength will be. At temperature up to 400℃, the more the fly ash content is, the better the compressive strength to the elastic modulus will be. From the observation of the crystal micrography, the C-S-H interlaces each other to form continuous matrix. It shows that the ortar strength increases, as the hole decreases. With the W/B increases, part of the glass fiber in the ash granular surface is eroded by alkaline liquor. Then the Pozzolan reaction is processing and the granular skin is peeling layer after layer. Owing to the hydrate the ash was bound together. The ash granule reacts layer by layer, so as to make the specimen structure more intensely and to promote the strength in the later period. It indicates the deteriorating effect of the elevated temperature to the cement-sand mortar with the addition of fly ash is less significant than the normal cement-sand mortar. Besides, we apply the color channel image analyzer(windows software written in Delphi) in the elevated temperature test specimens of the cement-sand mortar with the addition of fly ash to investigate the relationship between the temperature and the three primary colors of the fire-damaged specimens. The outcome shows that with the W/B increases, the whiter the specimen color is, the lower the fire-damaged capability. After curing at elevated temperatures, the most increased range of the specimen surface is red color, the second the is green color, and the lowest is blue color. It indicates that while concrete suffers from fire-damaged, the surface color will turn red with the increasing temperature. The variation of surface color is for reference in the future. The purpose of this work is to study the influence of the crystal micrography and image analyzer to the elevated temperature on the cement-sand mortar with the addition of fly ash.
