This research utilizes qualitative research methods. Data were collected from semi-standardized and in-depth interviews of young girls who have had extensive pre-marital sexual experiences. Data from these interviews were tape-recorded, transcribed, and analyzed for common themes and contexts. Data analysis results are as follows: 1. Dysfunctional familial factors such as failure to provide a safe and loving family environment influence young girls’ active decision to participate in premature relationships with the opposite sex, which may lead to pre-marital sexual behavior; and consequently, young girls’ search for love, acceptance, and satisfaction outside the family context. These factors include dysfunction of family role, poor relationship and unsatisfied affection. 2. Non-familial factors such as the contextual circumstances leading up to the first sexual contact, peer pressure and media also influence young girls’ active decision to participate in pre-marital sexual behavior. 3. Attitudes regarding pre-marital sexual behavior and related experiences include the following: a.) Attitudes before the first sexual experience was less cristalized. Attitudes afterwards was developed based on repetitive introspection. b.) Related experiences include the girl’s relationship with her partner, living arrangements, and marriage perspectives. This research also provides discussions and suggestions for people working in adolescent and family care.
