The enterprises must enhance the strategic transition, manufacturing strategy and marketing orientation. Casting is regarded as the foundation of the machinery industry and plays a very important role in the industry. The empirical research is base on Taiwan''s casting industry. The main purposes of this study are described as follows: 1.To understand the implementation situation of strategic transition, manufacturing strategy and marketing orientation of casting industry in Taiwan. 2.To study the correlations among strategic transition, manufacturing strategy and marketing orientation. 3.To conduct the empirical study on the influence of strategic transition, manufacturing strategy, marketing orientation of casting industry on its business performance. 4.According to the empirical result, make some recommendations for Taiwan traditional industries. After the test of correlation & regression analysis, there are 5 objectives have positive correlation and reach significant level, 8 objectives have partly positive correlation and reach significant level and 2 objectives have not correlation and not reach significant level. This study’s recommendations are described as follows: 1.To properly apply management and utilize Taiwan’s existing resources. 2.To strenghthen R&D and increase competitive advantage. 3.To proactively exploit new market and obtain high value-added orders. 4.To improve manufacturing process and reduce production cost, to ensure stable casting quality and deliver product on time. 5.To observe market trend and keep good relation with customer. 6.To enhance financial management and human resource management, which are able to strengthen the competitive ability of enterprise for sustainable operation.
