Summary: | 碩士 === 義守大學 === 管理科學研究所 === 91 === Most knowledge management (KM) literature studied related issues from the perspectives of "organization" level. While reviewing the practices in Taiwan, most KM activities happened in the "industry level". Thus, the primary purpose of this study is to explore what and how the industry-level KM (ILKM) proceeds. This study proposes to explore the following constructs: (1) The environment of ILKM, (2) The strategy of ILKM, (3) The operational issues of ILKM, and (4) The performance of ILKM. This study firstly divides the industry-level KM into four categories: (1) clustering function, (2) expanding function, (3) transaction function, and (4) initiation function. Besides, ten knowledge-based strategic attributes, such as "Make-or-Buy Knowledge Decision", will be measured as the conditions of strategy of ILKM. Following the KM-related literature and practices, this study attempts to sample benchmark industries in Taiwan, in order to explore the conditions of, and the relationship between, the above constructs. After the expert interviewing and questionnaire survey, this study could not only reveal the conditions of ILKM in Taiwan, and will provide some academic and practical suggestions for the future.
The results of this study show as follow. There is a partly obvious correlation between the environment of ILKM and the strategy of ILKM. There is a partly obvious correlation between the environment of ILKM and the operational issues of ILKM. There is an obvious correlation between the environment of ILKM and the performance of ILKM. There is an obvious correlation between the strategy of ILKM and the operational issues of ILKM. There is a partly obvious correlation between the strategy of ILKM and the performance of ILKM. There is a partly obvious correlation between the operational issues of ILKM and the performance of ILKM. Besides, there is no obvious difference between the strategy of ILKM and the operational issues of ILKM in every life-cycle stage.。There is no obvious difference between the strategies of ILKM in every kind of industries. There is an obvious difference in every operational issue of ILKM. At last, the study presents some practical and academic suggestions for further researches.
