Finding a generic set of critical success factors regarding to the success of implementing six sigma management is currently an important issue. Therefore, the objectives of this paper are to realize the current situation of six sigma implementation in the context of Taiwan’s manufacturing industry and to find out the critical success factors for the implementation of this approach. In this research, we use factor analysis on the critical success factors of six sigma implementation. The finding has shown that the seven main dimensions of successful factors of six sigma implementation are the leadership of top managers supports, the capability of basic employee factors, the six sigma methodology, the team member supports, the obtainment of six sigma project and the six sigma culture.
