The major sales amount are contributed from the manufacturing of personal computer . Taiwan has stimulated more and more know-how about technology and management, so the quality made by Taiwan’s factories has taken a leading place. ”Notebook PC”-also been called “Portable pc” or “Laptop” is a complex and mini-sized pc need to be made by experienced factories, so Taiwan’s factories with well technology and quality create more than 50% shipping quantities of world. In recent years, many entrances enter to this market because of a continuously growing market and expand their capacity to produce notebooks. This Industry with more manufacturers and capacity must face capacity excess and low-profit issues. How to build a competitive advantage to conquer these issue or avoid loss as possible? The answers are all concerned. This research is based on the above problems and status and adopts the strategic to try to find out better solutions. This research divides the process into three segments as following: 1. find the position in this industry so the analysis coverage should includes internal and external analysis to verify what’s opportunity and threaten and advantage and disadvantage. 2. the strategic planning should launch after the SWOT analysis. 3. choose and take one or several alternatives according risk and resource assessment to build competitive advantage. The cooperation should create many control points to audit the strategy or process to ensure the advantage should be get a longer lead. This research takes a selected cooperation as a sample to develop competitive strategies and hope the conclusion could be a strategic-planning reference to the cooperation and the follow researchers can use these results to assist other relative researches.
