Most of the motor drives use the gear mechanic for auxiliary accessories, however direct motion drive is for linear motor. Thus, the linear motors have characteristics of high speed, high precision and low friction, compared with the rotary motor drive. The main purpose of this thesis is to improve the precision of motor controller and to design the drive system by modularization. The linear motor drive control system designed in this thesis is based on a digital signal processor controller with some peripheral device such as current sensors, voltage regulators,…etc. First of all, the error signal coming from the comparision of pulse command and feedback sinusoidal current, is fed to a PID controller. In order to obtain the precisely position control of linear motor, the output of PID is used to control the PWM output voltage.
