Therefore, planning the interior public space in the hospital cannot only conforms to in the basic medical demand, but should be accede to the element which promotes the patients physical and psychical recover. The main service object in hospitals is the hospital patients, and the hospital patients main use day room which is in the public space outside hospital sickroom. Therefore, comfort and satisfaction of the hospital Day Room space environment will be influenced the patients psychical and physical recovering situation of the patients, therefore, this research will investigate the P.O.E of the patients use Day Room, will be the referral of the hospital public space quality improvement for the future.
At present, the hospital day room and other public spaces often are regarded as the secondary space by the hospital’s administrative department, and not to value to plan and design the day room, and possibly have no careful consideration of day room orientation when architectural design, with the result that is unable to make day room to achieve the best use. Although the majority of domestic hospitals have day room or other equal spaces, but actually not to apply the function of day room, or changes for other uses. However, along with the living standard enhancement, the hospital design idea to give first place to patients is the tendency gradually in recent years, from the furniture choice to the computer diagnos and the monitor designing in the sickroom are all suit to the patients physical and psychical demands, in order to patient’s physical and psychical comfort.To believe in the near future, the hospital Day Room to blend the green space, the health, the leisure and the entertainment together will become important in the new generation hospital architecture.
This research will use the research method of " satisfaction degree" in " P.O.E" and by the literature analyzing method, the specialis interviewing, the user questionnaire and the interviewing investigation method to carry on the relational data collection, to help carrying on research relational theory of the research when the overhead framework establishment, the fact correction, and the method of operation execution. The investigation of " satisfaction degree " to rely on the actual experience of day room user, to discuss the Day Room’s nature, the internal speciality, the using behavior, and the using satisfaction degree in depth, to expect proposing an ideal plan and design, to enhance the using frequency of the Day Room and the patient’s will to use it. The main intention of this research as follows:
1. Surveyuing the pattern analysis of hospital Day Room using behavior.
2. According to the questionnaire investigation method, to understand the Day Room user whether because the difference of its basic characteristic and Day Room environment at present, does produce to the different demand of Day Room.
3. The result obtained by way of this research analysis, will provide the tactic of the hospital Day Room quality improvement at present and the reference materials of siting Day Room in the hospital in the future .
Investigation achievement of this research as follows:
1. According to this research investigation discover that the Day Room does not have site with complete and independent in partial hospital, creates the interference when using it. Therefore suggesting that the Day Room the should sites with complete and independent, avoids siting on the passageway, creates the personnel passes through, interferes the Day Room user.
2. Suggesting that the day room should as far as possible site to approach the nursing department also may look straight ahead place, because of the nursing staff manage the personnel and patients to get in and out the Day Room conveniently, and handeling the suddenly situation in the Day Room instantly.
3. On the hospital sickroom floor, the site of Day Room should consider to arrive in most convenient and easy, to enhance the patient’s will to use .
4. Most because of the spatial consideration, hospitals with this research investigation do not have the conference room or the rest space reserved for the use of the nursing staff, creates the day room is occupied by the nursing staff in partial time. The main function of the day room is serving the patient and their family member, therefore suggestion that should consider to site the Day Room and the conference room separately, avoids the nursing staff occupy or interfere patient’s space.
