Although there are many factors related to it, the major extrinsic factor for pressure sore formation or influencing sore healing is interface pressure. Therefore, the selection of the suitable cushion is most direct and effective to pressure sores prevention. In this study, design a system to measure the 3D contoured of buttock, supply sufficient data for cushion designer. Using the measurement system, it is easy to take data automatically, and manufacture cushion by CNC for each patient so as to avoid pressure sores. The measurement system is belong to automatic data acquisition mode. The whole system is composed of mechanism, circuit and program. The mechanism is adoption spring to take as load-bearing, buttock contact measure face that lead along move slide rod and to tow the potentiometer arranged under construct 11×13 matrix style. Again by circuit system extract output signal of potentiometer, Circuit aspect compose complete input multiplexer system and combine multiplex data acquisition card with. Program with icon style , LabVIEW take data and turn into 3D curved and display contour of buttock with real-time to PC monitor, Coinstantaneous save data to provide analysis and CNC incised machine usage. In the system, adoption a simple system structure and materials are the best inexpensive. I hope it can help and really take care of many patients to avoid developed of pressure sores.
