Description
Summary:碩士 === 朝陽科技大學 === 工業工程與管理系碩士班 === 91 === Using virtual reality techniques as tools for engineering applications is getting popular as the VR techniques developed. However, the domain and quality of the implementation is still limited by the software development. One of the major constraints is “lack of physical properties” in the virtual world. In recent years, some VR software has equipped with certain physical properties, such as, gravity, magnetic, emerging force, bouncing, and air resistance. Nevertheless, there are still needs for building attribute that handles deformation, especially in elastic and plastic deformation, for which are the major factors that affect production machinery and, thus in tern, process and product quality .It is the purpose of this research to develop a Deformation Module that perform realistic deformations, caused by static loading, for objects inside the virtual world. Although, the style of force-to-deform relation between objects could be arbitrary, the style for most production machinery is, in fact, limited and could be in only one form. Based on the assumptions, this research has implemented an artificial neural network, for which is able to relate the acting forces and their corresponding deformations in off-line trainings, and then react in real-time.
