Most of the modern instruments provide some fundamental communication facility for local access. Instead of using tradition dynamic data exchange (DDE), OPC(OLE for process control) is applied for data acquisition, transmit and storage in the thesis. In the remote site, LabVIEW is used as OPC server which provides raw data. In the local site, Wonderware InTouch is uses as Man-Machine Interface (MMI). Both applications provide graphical User Interface for ease of use. The key purpose of this thesis is to transmit large amount of real-time waveform information from remote sites to a local site for storage and analysis.
