So enterprises need to arise the value of organizational knowledge by throughing effective knowledge management and develop core competence with concentration, and then arise the business performance. In addition, the enterprises must have a adaptable tool to measure core competence and business performance, and the measurable tool also must combine with the overall strategy in company. The research methods used literature review, expert consultation and questionnaire survey. Besides, the research also constructed the organizational core competence scale and business performance scale which with content validity and internal consistency. Base on a survey of 948 Biotechnology Industry in Taiwan with general survey method,107 questionnaires are effective returned. Many quantitive methods, including reliability analysis, ANOVA, canonical analysis, regression analysis, cluster analysis, discriminant analysis, and LISREL analysis are used to prove the hypothesis of this research. Integration of the experts’ opinions and statistical analysis, the result indicated that condificational knowledge management strategy has significant positive influence on organizational core competence and business performance, and the firms of condificational knowledge management strategy style has higher organizational core competence and better business performance. In addition, the intervening effect of organizational core competence is significant, it represent that knowledge management strategy can indirectly influence business performance by throughing the construction or development of organizational core competence. The suggestions about business practice and further research were also discussed based on the findings.
