Summary: | 碩士 === 長榮大學 === 經營管理研究所 === 91 === With the advancement of information technologies, the focus of education is slowly shifting from the traditional classroom-based learning to the web-based learning that incorporates information technologies. Therefore, e-learning has become an eventual trend in the modernizing education. The final goal of e-learning is to increase the learning efficiency in education or training systems. This study is to investigate the e-learning mechanism in health care institutions. The effect of the influencing factors for e-learning on the types of e-learning as well as the effect of the types of e-learning on the learning efficiency is studied. Furthermore, this study also investigates, under different evaluation criteria, which e-learning type should be reinforced in a health care institution to further increase learning efficiency. Health care personnel presently working in health care institutions facilities in the Southern regions of Taiwan were surveyed. Based on 606 useful survey results, some conclusions are made. Firstly, none of the four classes of health care personnel impact on the influencing factors for e-learning and on the types of e-learning. Secondly, with the exception of the environmental factor, the other factors including the characteristic of the corporation, the nature of users, and the support from their superiors all have a positive influence on the success of e-learning. Among them, the characteristic of the corporation plays the most beneficial role, followed by the nature of users and the support from their superiors. Thirdly, all of the types of e-learning contribute significantly to the learning efficiency. Among them, the versatile learning has the greatest impact, followed by multi-media on-line learning and multi-channel communication-based learning. Finally, the evaluation criteria have disturbing effects on the relationship between the e-learning types and learning efficiency. Those who used an on-line test as evaluation criteria believe that both multi-media and versatile learning regimes have a positive effect on their performance; with the versatile e-learning type to be the more effective. Those who used a hard-copy or survey test as the evaluation criteria believe that only the versatile e-learning type has a positive impact. Those who are evaluated by their peers believe the multi-channel communication-based e-learning type to be the most effective.
