The fingerprint is individual, unchangeable, and easy to get. Because of these advantages, it is one of the best choices of personal identification. The input images of fingerprints register the core-point as a reference in ordinary system of fingerprints recognition. And searching the exact position of core-point obviously leads to the superior result of the recognition. The core-point searching algorithm in common use recently is support by Markus Adhiwiyogo(MA) in 1999. Our thesis finds an improved core-point searching algorithm of MA. The results of the experiment show clearly that the improved algorithm of MA can search the core-point more precise and raise the accuracy of fingerprints recognition.
